How Can I Get That Luxury Hotel Bed Feel at Home?

Last weekend we welcomed a glorious extra hour in bed – and could you imagine a better feeling than spending it in that of a luxury hotel?

There’s nothing quite like falling into a fluffy hotel bed. The sumptuous sheets, heavy comforters, and surplus of pillows make hotel beds so much better than our beds at home.

Unfortunately this year many of us have not been able to check into a luxurious hotel, but did you know that you can recreate this at home? We’ve shared our top tips for creating that hotel bed at home, bringing the Sleepeezee 5-star comfort into your own bedroom!

Sleep on a quality mattress.

When it comes to mattresses, you really get what you pay for. Many hotels invest in custom mattresses exclusively made for their hotels, so it’s actually very likely that you’ve slept on a Sleepeezee bed before, as we supply many well-known hotels throughout the UK!

These ranges can be found over on our website.

Sink into the softest sheets

The first thing that comes to mind when you think about a 5 star hotel is the feeling you get when sinking into the bed. The good news is, it’s incredibly easy to replicate this feeling in your own home simply by ensuring you have the best bedding for the job.

Crisp, clean sheets give an instant feeling of luxury. Opt for pure cotton, high thread count linen which will help regulate temperature and moisture levels.

More is more when it comes to pillows.

When they said less is more, they were not talking about pillows. So when it comes to dressing your bed, building up the perfect number of pillows, cushions and throws will have a big impact on both the style and comfort.

The best hotels are normally equipped with two to four pillows and perhaps a few decorative ones as well.

Make going to bed a ritual.

While you may not have access to a hotel turn-down service at home, you can recreate the experience by devising your own bedtime ritual. The best thing for sleep is to unwind at the end of the day by dimming the lights, listening to music and pulling back your sheets.

Finishing Touches

To perfect the hotel feel at home, add some colour to balance out your white linen. Give your bedroom a brand new look with an eye-catching Sleepeezee headboard and add some decorative cushions to really complete that luxury hotel look.

Finally, light your lavender-scented natural candle and relax in style – bedtime will never be the same again!

Creating The Perfect Sleep Environment For Your Guests

People don’t tend to sleep as well on their first night away from the comfort of their own bed – meaning they are much more likely to wake up still tired and crabby!

Today’s guests want their hotel bedroom to be a real sanctuary to escape to as they want to live that home-from-home experience.

As any good hotelier knows, creating the right sleep environment for your customers is arguably the most important factor in producing the best possible experience at your establishment.

So to celebrate National Bed Month we’ve pulled together our top tips for creating the perfect sleep environment for your guests!

Relaxing Sleep Space

A calm and relaxing bedroom is key to a good night’s sleep. We all know that a bedroom that is quiet, cool (ideally 18°C) and completely dark will help create the perfect environment for your guests to fall asleep.

Where possible, try to create a calm bedside table, free of all distractions including technology.  As well as this there’s nothing worse than being rudely awoken by the early morning sun, so try blackout blinds or provide your guests with an eye mask.

It goes without saying that loud, sudden or repetitive noises can interrupt sleep. One of the best ways to combat this is with double glazing, as it muffles sounds from outside. However, if this is not an option, supply your customers with some earplugs to cancel out all the disruptions.

The Right Mattress

A pocket sprung mattress is the perfect choice for hoteliers who want to give their guests the night’s sleep they’ve always dreamed of.

Sleepeezee hospitality mattresses are specifically designed to minimise pressure points on the body for total comfort and support for whoever is sleeping on it.

In fact, the design of our beds means that the independent movement of each individual pocket spring allows the mattress to mould itself to the sleeper’s body, leading to a natural alignment of the spine and healthy back support.

Hospitality in Sleep

As you can see, there are a number of things that can rob your guests of a great night’s sleep. Fortunately, most of these things can be solved by making sleep a priority and investing in a great mattress.

The Impact of Quality Sleep in Hospitality

The hospitality sector as a whole is built on brand image and the experiences of its customers. If someone does not enjoy their stay at your hotel, their experiences can alter the perception of others through word of mouth and social media.

From our point of view, the ultimate experience during a hotel stay is a great night’s sleep, on a comfortable bed.

This is after all the foundation that your guests are looking for when they book a hotel. Although you can’t cater to everyone’s sleeping habits, all hotels can work towards providing their guests with a great nights sleep!

Sleep In Hotels

When a customer stays in a hotel, they will almost always base the quality of their stay on their sleep. A high quality sleep will leave customers refreshed and happy, whereas a poor quality night’s sleep can ruin an entire trip away.

We spend a third of our lives asleep, and evidence proves that the quality of this sleep is essential to allow us to reach our full potential during our waking hours.

Small changes can make a big difference in improving your guest’s sleep experience, which in turn will undoubtedly lead to greater customer loyalty.

Reviews have a large impact on the way new customers perceive the quality of a hotel. According to a TripAdvisor survey, over 55% of customers look for reviews that specifically mention the quality of sleep when choosing a hotel.

Thanks to the internet, customer experiences can easily be found, making it important to ensure high-quality sleep solutions are in place at your establishment.
